Social Media is a staple to any marketing strategy. An objective of increasing awareness of services to the public and to increase a consistent social media audience was through writing and distributing articles to appeal to the Baby Boomer audience, or Sandwich Generation. There are over 1.15 billion Facebook users, with 47% of Americans stating that Facebook is their number one influencer of purchases.
Increasing brand awareness through social media isn’t just through posting on Facebook every day. It is a matter of identifying your target audience, finding out what they “like” and tailoring your content to
speak to what they are seeking. After increasing the Facebook following over 27% in the first six months, I also partnered with WXYZ.com to insert ads in the most prominent ways. The articles and publications
were written to appeal to our target audience. Not only did this increase brand awareness, but it also brought in new business.
